Just found out...

I just found out that National City may start using this image for some of their promotional stuff.
Pretty cool...

PS
The city should crop this more. There is too much street....

  1. Hey Nate,

I live in Mira Mesa and commute 3 miles to work. Despite the short distance, the majority of the time I'm going about 40-50.

Down the road Camino Ruiz I sometimes go 60 because people tend to drive fast there... but I also have no problem taking my time and driving the speed limit at 40.

I don't think people mind either, after all it is the speed limit.

The wind shield def. helps with the wind blast at high speeds. I never went 60 prior to having the windshield. There was just too much resistance. Plus when I'm on my scoot, going 60 isn't as enjoyable as cruising at 40.

Right now I'm getting about 55 mpg. Should be getting 65 mpg as the bike gets older.

Upkeep is pretty pricey unless you can do your oil changes yourself. Then you'd just need service (thousands of miles in, there's a schedule you should follow).

The biggest thing you have to realize with a vespa is that it's something that could be dangerous. It looks fun (and it is!) but you have to treat it like a motorcycle too. Always look ahead and plan ahead. I don't think that's something I really took into consideration before purchasing but it's something I've gotten accustomed to and I have no regrets.

It saves me on gas (not all that much to be honest since my commute is so short), but mostly I enjoy riding it.

Let me know what you decide!
